Colin Micallef

Colin Micallef’s career started in 1989 when he joined HSBC Bank Malta plc formerly known as Mid-Med Bank Ltd as a bank clerk working in the accounts, cash and loans department. In 1995 he made a career change and joined Gollcher Co Ltd, a shipping company, as a marketing representative. In 1997 he decided to go back to the financial services industry and joined Lombard Bank Malta plc where he worked in the Foreign Exchange and Advances Departments and was later assigned to set up the operations of an agency.

It was during this time that he furthered his studies and obtained the Malta Banking Certificate. In 2000 he joined Rizzo Farrugia and Co (Stockbrokers) Ltd as an Operations Manager responsible for the Operations Department and later as an Investment Advisor. During this time he obtained the International Investment Advice Certificate together with the Certificate in Maltese Law for Financial Advisers.

In 2008, he joined FIMBank as a Customer Services Supervisor where he was responsible to provide support to the Head of Department and led a team within the section. In 2009 he joined Calamatta Cuschieri and Co Ltd as an Investment Advisor providing Investment Advice. Colin continued to consolidate his experience within the financial services industry in 2013 when he joined Timberland Funds as a Client Relationship Manager and later as an Office Manager heading the Maltese and Frankfurt office.
